Jesse Vogler is an artist and architect whose work sits at the intersection of spatial practices, material culture, and political economy. His work and research address the persistent gap between subjectivities and systems--between affective ways of being and administrative ways of knowing. Drawn to questions that attach themselves to the periphery of architectural production, his projects take on themes of work, law, property, expertise, and perfectibility. In addition to his art practice, Jesse is a land surveyor, co-director of the Institute of Marking and Measuring, and Professor + Head of Architecture Program at the Free Univeristy of Tbilisi.
